Disclaimer

I’ve kept this page up for old times sake. I’m no longer a civil servant so don’t need to worry too much about what I write. But when I first started blogging, there were no guidelines for civil servants on how to engage online so I was pretty much making it up as I went along.

Consequently,  I know other civil servant colleagues used my wording as inspiration for their own sites so I thought I would leave it here in case anyone else can derive benefit from it.

This is not a political blog or a blog about politics. It reflects my views about the world I work in – overseeing web and digital media development for a UK government department.

I never knowingly publish any information that might contradict the Civil Service Code or my department’s employee terms and conditions.  I also ensure that I follow the spirit of the Cabinet Office’s recently published principles for civil servants participating online.

My views do not reflect those of my employers – i.e., what I post is my opinion. This is, after all, my web site.

Hi Jeremy – I hope you don’t mind but I’ve quoted you in my disclaimer on my new blog. Hope that is OK?
    Cheers,
